at first I found the lack of quotation marks for dialogue a bit jarring, but I really liked how this was written, and it made the dialogue feel so much more realistic !!

personally wasn’t a fan of the writing style, for me it felt like it was just a self-insert of the author as a vampire
I feel like this had so many missed opportunities - there were so many instances where lydia was so close to acting on her impulses, that it felt like it was building up to something, only for it to fall flat and happen only in the last ten pages of the book… really wasn’t a horror at all, and nothing really happens until the last pages
(big up margate tho)
