Spy x Family, Vol. 6 by Tatsuya Endo
3.75
Not the greatest volume since it was mostly individual adventures and there wasn’t a lot of family time, but still one of my favorite mangas.
The Blue Fox by Sjón

A very interesting little book, I read it in about a day and I enjoyed it.
It reads and feels like a fairytale or a myth, blurring the line between every day life and the magical. The writing is very beautiful and it is the kind of book you spend time thinking about.

A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole
1.5
It would have been sad if it wasn't so bad.
Lines like "Her smile was a middle finger to the darkness in my soul." give you a pretty good idea of what this book is like. Poppy is quickly and NOT like other girls and Rune is a brooding artist with anger issues. And together? They are insufferable, proping up the gender role ideas that a girl should be selfless, healing those around her with her natural goodness, and doing it all with a smile on her face.
Also! Whyare are they kissing at eight! Eight years old! And what kind of grandma tells her eight year old granddaughter to go kiss a thousand times!!
This would have been a one star book if not for the fact that it gave me the morbid curiosity of wanting to know what would happen next; like watching a car crash.
I would have loved this book at eleven, but now......
