Although my fear of birds made it hard for me to find the allure of a book about a girl and her roc fighting manticores, I still enjoyed the writing and think the story was engaging and heartwarming. Time to reread the green bone saga though 🙃

Revolutionary and thought provoking book, albeit a huge lack of space for the experienced of non cisgender peoples. A worthwhile read for all, especially those socialized as men.
