Good account of disastrous past of Pakistan and this book poses a grear question for current and future generations of Pakistan about whether they learnt from past? or are they still repeating the same mistakes that they have made in past.
The Spy Chronicles: RAW, ISI and the Illusion of Peace by A.S. Dulat, Aditya Sinha, Asad Durrani

Insightful but the conduct of Pakistani establishment towards Durrani after publication of this somewhat confirms the allegations
The Lessons of History by Will Durant, Ariel Durant

The bad thing about this book was that it had only 100 pages but still a marvellous effort to encapsulate a Human history of 1000 of years. This book really challenged my thoughts on perception of past and perception
Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan, and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invas Ion to September 10, 2001 by Steve Coll

Honestly speaking this book gave me myopia because of its detailed writing full of fascinating facts and analysis. If someone needs to understand the Taliban and role of CIA, ISI, and governments of USA, Pakistan and Saudia Arabia then they should read this book. It might be a long lengthy read but still it can change your perspective of your views regarding Taliban.
