sooooo it’s sad to say but i loved no ADORED normal people and sadly i’ve been a bit disappointed by this one:/
i still loved the handwriting of sally rooney but characters were maybe more hollow, less endearing and less developed or deep? i still wanted to know what was going to happen and everything but this book didn’t affected or impacted me such as normal people did
because of that i’de say that there were some lengths; however it was still cute but that’s all, not THE book of this author to read in my opinion!

a TRUE masterpiece, it's hard to talk about this book and i know it's a very controversial one but trust me, this is NOT an ode to ped0philia or whatever people are saying about it : it's completely the contrary and everyone should read it.
of course, if you go to read it with the hollywood vision of it, and how people modified the real point of it, your opinion is maybe going to be biased
but trust me, the handwriting is amazing, smart, light, wise : perfect. some parts are harder to read for sure, but this classic is (in my pov) a must have to read.
i assure you that this is one of those books that change your vision of life after reading it.
of course, if you go to read it with the hollywood vision of it, and how people modified the real point of it, your opinion is maybe going to be biased
but trust me, the handwriting is amazing, smart, light, wise : perfect. some parts are harder to read for sure, but this classic is (in my pov) a must have to read.

however, my dark vanessa is a true masterpiece. an incredible and necessary book about consent, manipulation, ped0philia, traumas, lack of love and attention, need of validation, traumas's consequences on people, and how people struggle with post traumatic syndrome.
it's kind of hard to talk about this book because of the effects it had on me, how it impacted me and how it can easily resonate into some people (it did with me honestly).
the entire book is amazing, whether it's the beginning (how it all started) and the present (how she's dealing with her past and the consequences of it) and also how she considers herself (before, during and after it all happened).
anyway, please read this book !!!

this is the first book of this author i've read and i've been SO disappointed ???? LIKE ???? i was really curious about the selection serie but trust me .. not anymore
the handwriting was really simple, everything that happened in this book was too quick and soooo cliche, and NEVER developed
whereas the author created an interesting world? like she kind of changed the rules and ideas we had about mermaids, how it is, how it's working and everything but she always talked about it in "surface". this is why i've been disappointed and also the lovestory ... maybe it can works if you're around 12 - 17 but no more : too many cliches, everything's happening too quickly, ...
anyway definitely not my best read :/

handwriting was beautiful, even tho the subject is really though to approaches.
i had some difficulties sometimes because i've read it in original version (english isn't my first language) and it was really sustained but still, it was an amazing book about suic*ide.
also, the book's adaptation movie is incredible too : images, music, actors, narrator, everything!

a very beautiful book, with an amazing handwriting that gave me want to read more about matt haig books.
after reading this, you question a lot of things in your life but it was really good tho, it's one of my most annotated book !

this first book of the serie is the perfect introduction about the world and politic of this universe.
at the end we're really curious about what's going to happen next.
i'de say that in this one, the enemies part is really developed and we discover a lot about the personality about each character (mainly damen). also it's in this book that we learn about this book's world (politic, country, challenges, ...)
