I feel like these books are like reality TV, they're cringe, make your brain switch off and a bit embarrassing but you can't look away 😂

I was on the fence wether to rate this a 3 or a 4 but I decided to go for a 4 as it was an enjoyable read overall! The book itself was good and you get to know each final girl quite well. The parts I found hard to get on with were when Lynnette suspected someone of being "bad" she didn't just suspect them, she was 100% convinced and she was then proven wrong quite a few times! I felt like some of those could have been avoided. Some good twists towards the end.

Almost a 5 star read! I was hoping for a big twist right at the end which I didn't get hence the 4.5. However, this was an excellent story, I really enjoyed it. My new favourite Lisa Jewell book!

An irritating read, took ages for anything to happen- then when it did happen, it would suddenly throw you back to a past scene that wasn't as interesting. Found it all quite predictable and long winded!

Aside from Sive who I tolerated I found I didn't like any of the characters too meaning that I didn't really care about what they were up to!

A really easy read! A good story right to the end and I liked the way you heard the story from 2 perspectives.

A good story but felt a little unfinished in the end, I like to know exactly what happened rather than leave it to my imagination and maybe get it wrong!

I also found it a little slow and hard to continue which is unusual for me and Lisa Jewell books!

It wasn't what I'd hope it would be. I know Grady Hendrix has a humour to his writing but I still expected a bit of horror here. The parts where the demon was getting stronger were good but there was just far too much overexplaining. The book could have easily been 100 shorter! Still, it was okay, just not my favourite. None of his books have been as good as 'How to Sell a Haunted House' in my opinion!

A nice story with a fulfilling ending. I found it hard to get into at first but then it gradually got more interesting once her memories started coming back fully. Obviously it's a sad story also but it was necessary to the story.

I found it interesting how the flashbacks to Ken in Broadstairs were similar to Lisa Jewells future thrillers of "The Family Upstairs" books. Thought maybe this is where she got her inspiration from.

Saying this, I do prefer Jewells later books in the thriller categories!

A good read though a sad one. Loved the idea of confessions being his reason behind each painting!
