It was definitely still slower paced, but better than the first one. I think the reason I’m not loving these books too much is I’m not super attached to the characters, but I’m starting to feel it a little more. The ending definitely picked up, and I’m excited (and hoping) that the third book has more action.
I feel like for most of this book nothing really happens, it’s kind of slow, going from living a small town life to traveling through the forest and that’s pretty much it. The twist got me though, I was so confused at first. I definitely want to keep reading to see what happens next, the very end of this book started to get good and I’m excited to see how it unfolds.
holy shit. I think I just found my new favorite book. I don’t know what it was, it’s definitely similar to most romcoms, but there was just something about Charlie and Bailey that makes me go a little insane. Thier banter, the fake dating, COLORADO. Oh my god Colorado. Those might be some of my favorite pages in a book of all time. The fact that Gracie abrams was mentioned by name is actually a sign, I’m in love with this book. It’s also the fact that I’m going through something similar to them. I loved the dual POV so much, most romance I read doesn’t have that, which made this so fun. The only thing about this book I didn’t love was the conflict at the end, because let’s be honest, no conflict at the end of a rom com is actually believable. I wish authors could think of another way to add conflict but in this book it didn’t last for long and I could get over it compared to how amazing everything else was. Every time they would talk to each other I was kicking and giggling my feet, I’m pretty sure the person next to me on the plane definitely noticed. I read this on my kindle but I need to buy the physical copy now and be able to look at it forever and ever. Something about betting on you put a chokehold on me, and it’s never letting go.
I just wow. I read most of this book in one sitting watching everything unfold, the reveals, unbelievable twists, the amount of planning writing this book must have taken. This world, these characters I’ll never let go. I physically could not put this book down, shoe after shoe was dropped and all I can think about is rereading it. I’ll miss the shock of reading it for the first time. Just wow.
Wess and Liz were so so so so cute. I loved their whole story, the enemies to lovers, the friendship, the banter, it was amazing. I read most of this book while in drivers ed, it was the best distraction I could have asked for. Nothing like the movies comes out on my birthday, and I'm so excited to read it and Wes' POV. I need more NOW.

Wow. I did not expect that ending at all, it never even crossed my mind. It was so good. I liked this book a lot, the characters and seeing the way their minds work is fascinating. Cassie’s thought process and the way she’s able to profile people is so intresting. Everything about it from the mystery to the plot to the characters to the program made it fun to read.
