An amazing commentary about how humans naturally form hierarchy in times of chaos. The writing style is very unique and you can get very engrossed in the plot.

Lots of information dumps that requires a small amount of effort to digest, but otherwise a really thoughtful read. If you've heard of this book before, keep in mind it explores more themes to it than is usually discussed.
