Always love Seth Godin. This is a great read on his marketing philosophy and suggested practices. A really grounding book for a marketing practitioner.
I read this in conjunction with the book, Say Nothing, and while watching the Derry Girls—soaking myself in The Troubles in Northern Ireland. It was a fantastic complement to the non-fiction of Say Nothing. An ominous and creatively written story of a girl and her community during the Northern Ireland conflict. I recommend if you're interested in the nuanced societal impacts of civil war.
A fascinating book that tells three stories, the final being a summary of the life of Harper Lee and her attempts to write a non-fiction novel. I enjoyed learning about Harper Lee, her relationship with Truman Capote and found the story of her relationship with writing really humanizing.
I read this on a recommendation from a bookstore in Stockholm in the hopes that it would be a fun fiction that would provide a story based in the city I'm currently living in. But this kind of crime novel is not my jam. The characters were superficial and the salacious storyline took away from any of the real goings-on in the plot.
A fun read on John McPhee's writing process and his experience at Time Magazine and The New Yorker.
