I mean... These are the kind of books where (most) teen bookworms have their first approach to sex and honestly it's worrying just how overly romanticized some sexual conducts are presented throughout this book.
  • What I liked:
  1. Sex is not necessarily the main focus (even if it plays an important part)
  2. Apolo is just too cute and unproblematic (at least in this book)

  • What I didn't like:
  1. The "dirty talk". What 17-18 year old speaks like that?!
  2. Their pet names (No romance book– if this can be called that– has particularly good pet-names, but it appears the author didn't eve try. CRINGE WORTHY)
  3.  The absence of adults. In my mind her mom shows up like 4 times in the whole story (and one of those times she
    slaps the heck out of her daughter
    )
  4. The logic of all the characters speaking spanish and not being good english speakers when they're supposed to be in the US and have lived there practically all of their childhoods.
  5. Really? A brother and sister duo called Daniel and Daniela? Are you for real?
  6. The justification for the parental issues the main guy has? LAME.
  7. The way sex is approached. Honestly is not the worst I have read, but what makes this case particularly unlikeable is the demographic for this book. 13-15 y/o teens should not be taught that sex is anything like this.

All in all I think this is not a good book.
