How to Keep House While Drowning: A Gentle Approach to Cleaning and Organizing by KC Davis

Please do yourself a kindness and listen/read this book. It's deliberately made short and is easily digestible. I kind of felt bad starting this book because I thought "I'm not struggling too bad, I'm okay" and this book left me with a lump in my throat because I realised that even that mindset is unkind to myself.

Orwell crafts a captivating tale that serves as a powerful commentary on society, politics, and the human condition. The characters are compelling, the narrative is thought-provoking, and the message is profound. A must-read for anyone seeking to delve into the complexities of power, corruption, and the struggle for freedom. Truly deserving of its status as a literary classic.

I enjoyed the book overall. While the ending isnât exactly open, there are unresolved events and discussions that leave some questions unanswered. That said, it doesnât take away from the story, though I would have liked to learn more about the villain mentioned at the end. The book is emotionally movingâthere are sad moments, but the characters show growth. The last 4-5 hours are particularly strong and kept me fully engaged. However, I felt the action scenes could have been more developed, and the pacing was uneven in certain parts.
