The world of this book absolutely captivated me. I truly enjoyed observing Scarlett throughout her time in Caraval. The ending made me feel satisfied while still yearning for more time with the characters. One character I felt very drawn to was Legend, he has absolutely amazing character traits. Somehow he is ever-present in the game while also feeling distant. I will absolutely pick up the next book in this series.

I enjoyed the representation of anxiety in this book a lot. I truly believe that this book might have helped so many people struggling to come to terms with their anxiety. However, it is a very character-driven book, which is not typically what I like to read. I was trying to get into the mystery aspect, but then it felt like that was scrapped halfway through. No judgement to people who love this book; it just wasn’t my thing.

This was such a cute book. Nothing showstopping, but it was enjoyable. I appreciated the diverse cast and the fun setting. At times it really felt like it was taken straight out of an episode of The Bachelor. Overall relaxing read to pass the time.

This book was a very lovely read. I don’t usually read coming of age novels but I remembered someone online recommended it to me a while back. I really didn’t see the plot twist coming because it had been so long since I read the summary that I was basically going in blind. I recommend this book to people in high school who feel misunderstood. The message was lovely, and I appreciate the effort that the author took to portray OCD in an educated and respectful way.

This book had been in my TBR for probably over a year before I decided to pick it up. I’d heard the audiobook was a good format to read it because of the podcast element. After listening to it, I wholeheartedly agree. Not only is the podcast element to the story heightened by the format, but Sadie’s stutter is portrayed amazingly by the voice actress. I decided to finally pick it up because it was available to borrow on Libby; I’m so glad I did. I’d definitely recommend this book to true-crime followers, especially those who listen to podcasts. The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars was because the beginning was a little confusing for me. That might just have been me getting used to reading audiobooks though; don’t let it discourage you.

Very entertaining book. Something very different from Colleen’s romance books that I’ve read. It was very eerie and tense at times, which I loved. This might be my second favorite Colleen book I’ve read.
