As far as biographies go, I have read much better but also worse. Loving Drew I knew I would at least find it interesting. What irritated me was that scream, my poor eardrums could not take that. other than that, it was overall a good solid 3.5 stars.
Would I recommend it, if you like movie stars' biographies yes.

OH my Word!!!! What a book. I started this Audiobook more out of curiosity than anything else. I did not expect to feel sadness, and an overwhelming feeling to give Crystal a big hug and say you are okay now. You did it.. You have your life in control. You are on the right path.

This book not only gives us inside of how the Playboy Mansion worked inside out and the scary things that have happened. But also how trapped the girls felt and how quickly the glitz and glamour came at a cost.

I loved this biography, and would recommend it.

I picked up this audiobook more out of curiosity than anything else. Let me tell you I am glad I picked up this one. It was what I needed to listen to now. With Cancer treatment and putting your life in perspective, Hilarie's book was what I needed. After listening for the first 2 hours I went out and bought a craft, not a book. That weekend I started my own unique Grimoire, one that will be filled with family histories, recipes, stories, birthdays and photos. One that when I am long gone my grandchildren can look at that.

I loved the Simple spells section after each chapter. the one with the branch fork and showing water made me remember my childhood. Me and my brother would do that a lot. My favourite chapter was that of the ghost and haunting. I found myself relating to Hilary. My fascination with haunted buildings and ghosts. They never bother me but when I do feel them it is usually a comfort cause it is in times of emotional stress.

Hilary opened up a bit of her soul and broke my heart just a bit.

I would recommend this book. If you can get the audiobook, even better. My first 5 star for 2024....

This book had a plot twist or two that I did not see coming. I enjoyed how the author kept you on your toes and how in those last few pages the story came full circle, just like the Ouroboros.

The book follows Jules, a adult orphan that has lost everything. Then a offer comes a long, one that seems to good to be true. Be a temporary house sitter/resident at  Bartholomew, an luxury Manatthan apartment complex in New York for $4 000 a month for three months.

Can you say no when you have nothing and that $12 000 will place you back on your feet. Well that is exactlyt how Jules feels. With a serious of events Jules meet Erica and Nick the handsome doctor down stairs. When Erica disapper Jules does everything in her power to find her. With a serious of clues she follows, she not only realise the terrible truth of the  Bartholomew  but her life itself is but in danger.

This book was truly enjoyable and did had me gasping a few times.

Overall this Audiobook was good, some of the chapters was covered in her Documentary, which I enjoyed. I think I would have given the book 4 stars if it was not for one big reason - the cats in the beginning with her dad. That was sort of a trigger for me.

Also, I have never known nor read a biography where the author had soooooo freakin much sex. Mad at someone have sex, happy have sex, horny have sex. Frankly, it seems really exhausting.

Her devotion to her children and being a hands-on parent with no nannies is not something many people in the entertainment industry can say.

If you loved Baywatch and are a fan of hers, then definitely read this book.

Look, I feel for Britney and what her parents put her through. The battles she has thought is one know one should fight. But?

Yes, there is a but. I went and looked at Britney's Instagram page and this is my own feeling, I personally feel if you are a role model girls look up to, dancing almost naked with knives ain't really a good example.

Okay, back to the book. so the But is actually here. I found myself getting irritated. Of all the biographies I have listen too, this one is my least favourite.

I give it 3 out of 5 stars.
Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry

When I got the audiobook for Matthew Perry's biography I heard mixed reviews on some book podcasts. I went into this book with the idea, that I would not really enjoy it or rather not liking Matthew Perry any more, I even thought I would find it irritating.

Can I BE any more wrong? I was. I truly loved this book. It was heartbreaking. My heart broke a little with each chapter that went by. The sad part is that at the end of his life, he really wanted kids, Matthew kept on talking imagining blue-eyed kids running around in his year, yet we all know that was not the path the last years of his life took. And for that I am sad.

Knowing his story now, and how hard he thought against his addiction, one wonders if would he go and change anything if he could. The need for attention and being the funny one all started with that abandonment. In that sense Matthew is a better man than I am, he forgave, I would not.

The sad part is the book is for me when he says that He got everything he dreams of, but when he got it he realised it was the wrong thing he dreamt of. It makes you think that the dream you have, is really the dream you want. Do you really want to be a world-famous designer, actor, or athlete? Or when you finally get that dream you realised you just wanted to live a quite live.
That is the thing of regret, it comes to late.

I loved this book, and would recommend it to anyone who loves biography and Matthew Perry.

The world is a little less cheerful since his passing. I do hope he found peace in his last moments.
