Megan May is incredibly honest and vulnerable in this lovely tribute to her dearest friend. As someone who had the honor of sharing the stage with both Mary and Megan, I think this story beautifully captures Mary’s feisty and dazzling personality and preserves the reality, ups, downs, and in-betweens of an invaluable and everlasting friendship. It’s real, emotional, and a stunning tribute to an amazingly talented woman who left this world too soon. You’re always fabulous, baby 💙
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

After a successful setup in the previous book, Harrington keeps the suspense going, weaving the story through new surroundings and character arcs. While The Pure Ones brilliantly connects the saga and sets up what’s hopefully going to be a showstopper of a finale, it holds its own. The novel contains a lot of wonderful moments between characters (featuring one of the sweetest friends to lovers romantic subplots ever) and gut-jerking plot twists as the Timewire Universe expands.
I don’t want to go into too much detail that would spoil The Pure Ones (or any of the previous books), but I’m hooked on this series!
I’m thankful to the author for sending me an e-copy as part of my ARC journey for The Empowered Ones.
I plan to restart the series eventually, but I didn’t like that the protagonist chose wrong re: the love triangle and I was not pleased with the incorporation of a fae court. I was not prepared, but I will be next time!
