Unfortunately a bit of a drag to read, which is not ideal. It's definitely not 'chilling' and not really that 'dark'. Could've done with one more round of edits. The narrative voice is also very hit and miss; sometimes her observations were clever and biting, other times they felt shoehorned-in and cringeworthy.
