I learned a good amount emotionally from reading this book. Not for the lighthearted, but it is a great piece of literature.

While I was skeptical in the beginning because of Sam’s personality, it got way better and picked up quickly. The character development in this book is like no other, and
good on Sam for getting rid of Rob, he sucked and Kent is so much better.
The ending??? Amazing.

I loved all of these freaking characters, and I generally got the plot, but the characters made this book stand out. I love them all and
dude when Tristan died it sparked something in me where I wanted to stab everyone
, I am not okay.

All of this is going to sound terrible, but I honestly hated this book. The writing wasn't doing anything for me, and the plot was just as confusing. Also, the book was marketed as a love triangle, but not once does the protagonist ever consider the secondary love interest as an option, so it is NOT a love triangle. Also, the protagonist is giving the "not like other girls" trope, which will never be a good trope.
In the end, she also tells the main love interest that she "can't be with him" because she "loves him too much", which just adds to the horrible way this book was put together.

It was slow, though that might be because I was reading a bunch of books in between. Good book, emotionally wrecked me. Not okay.

I love the characters so much, they're so dynamic and have such complicated personalities. The characters in these books are everything

My name is Celaena Sardothien, and I will not be afraid.
When I tell you this book broke me-
Justice for Sam because he was the best character in this book and I don’t want to process that he’s gone
It’s like Matthias all over again 😭
