I stumbled upon this series as I was searching for another similar novel. I went in optimistic because I use to enjoy watching the X-Files growing up. It was a decent read and it was entertaining for an adult reading a YA.

This was a beautifully written story with several twists and turns. Any time I thought I had it figured out I was wrong. Barnes wrote the characters well and weaver a great story. I cannot wait to read the next installation of this series!

I've got to be honest... I wasn't sure about this book when I first began as it wasn't quite the same as other novels I've read by Hazelwood. However, as I continued to read I started to recognize her ability to make me laugh through her novels. Bride may not be her normal rom-com trope, but it definitely still has that Hazelwood humor throughout.

I had watched the movie adaptation of this novel several times before realizing that the movie was a book adaption. I went in semi knowing the outcome and what the story entailed so I wasn't surprised by the story line. I will say that this story is well written and, while for younger readers, I enjoyed the story line and characters immensely!

Even though this book is geared more toward young adults, I thoroughly enjoyed the read. The story line and characters were well matched and it held my attention from start to finish. I just wish there was a bit more to find out one of the answers to a burning question Erin had!

Where do I begin with this review... Maybe I should take a few days beforehand, but I just need to get it out.

This is the first novel I've ever read by Kristin Hannah and I wasn't sure what to expect as I get disappointed by hyper up books and authors almost every time. Maybe I just don't have the same taste as those individuals the books are usually geared towards. I almost didn't read this one for that reason, but I'm so very glad I gave it a chance.

This story will definitely stick with me for a while. It was beautifully written and so vividly brought me into the world at the time of the Vietnam war. While this story is fiction, it is based on what Vietnam Vets suffered through upon their return and should be read with open eyes in order to fully grasp it all.

I rented this book from our public library, but I would love to purchase it so I can re read and annotate it in order to dive even deeper into this story.

This was a quick and easy read if you are looking for a book hangover pallet cleanser. I do feel like there was a lot of filler, and not well thought out filler at that. I did enjoy how all three short stories tied into each other.

While it did take me a while to read it wasn't due to the pace or book itself. It was rather because I had a few ARCs I had to read on a deadline that took me away from this great story.

Ross wrote this sequel beautifully and I thoroughly enjoyed every page. Every character was well thought out, and each character played an important role no matter how small.

Iris became strong and confident in who she was. She made sure that whatever needed to get done got done even if it meant sacrificing her own safety and happiness.

A Haunted Bride was a beautiful Continuation of its prequel A Convenient Marriage! I absolutely loved the way Tideswell told the story and love the pieces together. For the last half of the book I was in the edge of my seat and felt like I was watching a thriller! I cannot wait to read the next book in the series to find out what is next for Holly, Joshua, and of course that scheming Nicole!

I received this book via book sprout for a honest review.
