I wanted this to be a super cute feel good wlw manga (as described).  For a bit, I thought it would have good trans representation. It did have it's cute moments, but when it starts with the main character
saying homophobic stuff
it just feels... Eh. Character development was not good, and it felt like the author was really indecisive about the identity of one character. Cute art, but the story is lacking.

An important read for all times. I'm glad she shared her story of fighting fascism.

Very cute and funny tie-in to the movie Sadako (2019), aka Sadako KOL. It's fun to see a horror icon being cute and goofy. The style is short panel comics (not 4koma, but very much a gag comic). Very quick and enjoyable.

Absolute stunner of a debut novel. The beginning felt a bit slow to me, but it truly brought us into Laure's world. We see her passion for the ballet. Her struggle to be accepted by her peers. The way she feels about her place in the ballet, especially as a black girl in a sea of white girls in France. She's already playing in hard mode in the ballet due to that. When one is pushed so far, where do you go?

The story was compelling, I found the twists exciting. I'm a big fan of horror, and the body horror in here was wild and well described. Looking forward to more from Jamison Shea.
