took me a bit longer to read this due to being in burnout but still really enjoyed! loved the unique premise and the way the story was told. it did drag in parts and felt slightly jarring with the constant back and forth between timelines but there were some genuinely creepy moments in this that i loved.

i am a sucker for weird ass books and media like this so i for one loved it even if a lot of people didn’t. yes i may need to reread it again to fully understand what the fuck just happened but i don’t care it was a great fast read!

throughout the book i was thinking ’this is my favourite one so far’ especially with the mixed media featuring more heavily as compared to couple of the previous one’s in the series but then it just kind .. ended? im not sure how to explain it cause i was fully engrossed the whole way and it’s definitely my favourite writing wise but the plot feels a little simple compared to the rest of the series? still absolutely enjoyed it though!! maybe i just need to sit on it / i read it too fast

not afraid to admit i teared up a little at the end and at that moment. this may be a strange comparison but this book is like if the family from easy a were in a ya crime novel. i love pip’s character and her family a lot, and was pleasantly surprised by the darker moments! a fun easy ride with lovable characters and a twisty story

faith’s last video log made me a little teary eyed <3 i love how cara hunter’s plots go in a completely different way than i expect and it’s so incredibly satisfying when pieces click into place. i was wary when we find out about faith but her character and people’s interactions with her were so casual and well written i just was pleasantly surprised :) this was one more well paced like the first one in the series so back to 5 stars!

felt a little bit stretched out compared to the first book hence the slightly lower score but still thoroughly enjoyed. i love how these books are written and it’s so satisfying when the pieces of the puzzle all click into place, especially when it goes in a completely different direction to what i was expecting!
