Fleishman Is in Trouble by Taffy Brodesser-Akner

I enjoyed reading but felt it was about 100 pages too long. There were a lot of aspects (format, narration) I found interesting at the beginning but grew to be kind of annoyed by at the end. Was a bit disappointed considering how hyped it was.

This book is wild. I’d definitely say not for everyone. But I loved it. It’s haunting, violent, and grotesque but woven together so beautifully. Magical realism at its best. I’ve never read anything like it.
