Definitely a page turner. The imagery was beautiful and overall a captivating story. I’d say it was a little predictable and at times cliche but it was a fun read.

Overall enjoyed the book. And when the drama picked up at the end I couldn’t set it down. I was slightly disappointed. While I felt like we need more stories like this and it’s so important/relevant I didn’t really feel like I was attached to any character except Briar and Zara. Initially the ending fell a little short for me after all the build up and drama. But I guess the point maybe was for it to just be like this shit happens ALL THE TIME and even when a dramatic event happens that reveals all the junk underneath people don’t often change.

Overall really enjoyed it. There are definitely characters/stories I wanted to stay with longer and some stories I could’ve maybe done without. But phew those last 100 pages when everything comes together is worth it. I’d agree with other reviews that say there was a little something missing. But I’d still recommend!

I don’t know if I’ve ever described a book as sexy before but damn, this book is sexy. Truly was ahead of its time. I would definitely recommend.
