I liked that this felt different for Emily Henry. It may not hit for everyone but I really liked the two storylines and how everything connected. Yes the seven husbands comparison is valid but they’re not the same book (so don’t fret)! I will say some of the flashbacks felt long but I think it’s just because I was really enjoying the other storyline or Alice and Hayden. I usually wait to read her books until the dust has settled with reviews, but for this one, I’m glad I am able to add to the conversation. Thank you thank you thank you @berkleypub

Holy pining and holy slow burn. I’m admittedly not a historical girlie but I thought this story was so beautiful and true to its time. Who knew a book about baseball could get me in my feels?! I liked that this book was kind of grumpy grumpy because it allowed so much trust to happen. Being queer in the 60s was not talked about and I thought it was so inspiring how both men just wanted to be accepted.

Okay this may be my favorite @831storieshq I’ve read yet!! Political strategist falls for her boy band crush and it’s hot hot hot!! Maya is such a solid protagonist and as the reader you felt for her in every decision she had to make. Career or following your heart?! She is definitely stronger than I am! As a lover of boy bands, this was a fun take on the what happens when the band breaks up and the boys go solo. For being 160 pages this one wraps up pretty perfectly!

Out tomorrow! Thank you @berkleyromance for the gifted copy! It’s sapphic, steamy, and does indeed slap. I really enjoyed both POVs and the idea of the flirting lessons but set in the queer world was really fun to me. Overthinking characters will always have my heart so I have such a soft spot for Avery. Overalls equal parts sweet and swoony and yes a little cheesy but it’s for the plot 😉

This definitely leaned more mystery than romance! If you’re someone that wants to read more thrillers but think they’re too scary this is a good book to start with! The mystery surrounds a dating service and its juicy and very wait what! I definitely didn’t see the whodunnit coming! Thank you @bantambooksuk for the gifted copy!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 33%.
I really thought that this book would be my kind of read, but it’s just not holding my attention. The chapters are short, which I appreciate, but I feel like the story is just going around in circles.

Hi I’m devastated by this book (to no surprise). It’s crazy reading a series you started at 18 (I’m now 34) but no one can suck me back into a world like Suzanne can!! This book is tragic and brutal and getting the how we got there with Haymitch (along with other character lore) was heartbreaking. How do I move on now?!

I adored this book! If you’re feeling some classic rom com energy this one is perfect. It’s funny, it’s charming, and it’s so flirty!!! I loved the set up for this story and I loved how imperfect and messy our main characters were. I had heard great things and can confirm they’re true!

Thank you Berkley for the gifted copy. I am a huge fan of this author because her books always making me smile, swoon, and laugh. This one was no exception. The concept was fun. You get a meet cute turned fake dating romance all around the idea of luck. Sybil is the kind of protagonist you adore, but also you want to shake a few times. And Kieran is her perfect counterpart. This book will cause you to want infinite amounts of donuts so to be warned.!!
