I don't know why i keep thinking i'm going to like books of this genre. The only series i've enjoyed has been the Dark Hunter series from Sherrilyn Kenyon.
I just can't believe a story where the man has been guarding that portal for hundreds of years, probably killing MANY attractive women in his time as guardian and all of sudden this girl makes him pause. In reality he'd run her through with his sword in the 'disorientation stage' that the guy talked about in the beginning and he'd go home and finish his food. I really want to like these series because they do have good ideas and imagination but i guess i'm not all for the instant attraction of a mortal average woman idea.

Best book i've read in a looong time! It was one of those books where you just can't put it down, every page draws you in more. Can't wait to read more of his work
