some books aren't to be judged on a spectrum, to be liked on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, some lie above to be rated. They are to make people aware, to envoke, to shed light on, to be taught and talked about. To be held as a billboard sign, "This is the world we are living in, enough is enough."

Immense love and gratitude to Chanel for voicing what so many victims feel, what i felt. The helplessness, the shame, the guilt. And the other side of it all too: the trying and the failing and the getting better.

It took me a while to get through this bcus i needed to sit with it. To take my time with each string of words and process them.
