"I'm not sure I'm supposed to know, but the rumour is that it's a new book."

"You're kidding. A sequel? Revelations 2, just when you thought it was safe to sin?"

"It's a Gospel."

"A Gospel, after all this time? Who?"

"Levi, who is called Biff."

This book is sad, and I don't mean it's-so-horrible-sad but every-character-in-here-is-sad-and-I-feel-their-sadness sad.

To some, the prose style of the book might be difficult to get through. Some might even hate the book for its prose style, and that's totally okay. I won't lie; I had difficulties with it too, but it grew on me and I recognised it ultimately as the author trying to evoke poignancy, and whether he succeeded or not depends entirely upon the reader and his tastes.

It's a top-notch book, I could say that, but it could use a bit more reworking in some parts here or there.

I expected to hate this book. I expected to loathe this book. I expected to throw this book to the rubbish bin without even finishing it.

Imagine, then, to my great surprised, that I actually liked it.

It's a guilty pleasure, I tell you, and I hope it stays that way.

I have no need of stalker girls and selfish fallen angels and cardboard cutouts in my life.
