<spoiler> I wasn't satisfied with the ending because Scarlett wasn't punished for what she did. I know that she did those crimes with the intention of punishing those bastards, but something in my mind just wants to see Scarlett get punished for what she had done to those men for some reason. A lot of you may disagree with me but this is how I think about the book and I can't do anything about it. </spoiler>

EDIT:
wtf did i just say? Did i really say that? Omg. I take back all what i said HSHSKABAJSBSB

F*CK ME.
I never expected that ending. It left me shOOk.
I've always believed that this story would never end happily and there were no romance between Marcos and the female but bro...that ending is just—AHHHHHHHH

Honestly, when I first read the ending I didn't understand it at first so I read it again and that's when realization dawned upon me. I WOULD NEVER FORGET THE ENDING OF THIS BOOK. It left me off guard. I didn't expect him to do that.

But setting the shocking ending aside, I was so intrigued of Marcos' character. He was a puzzle I was trying to figure out. He was a paradox. And yeah, him doing that in the ending is so him.

I was originally planning on rating this 3.5 but that's before I read the final chapter. And when I did, I changed my mind and rated it 4 stars. Just 4 because it never really hooked me in the beginning and was bored when I first started it.

As a fifteen-year-old, it was quite a challenging read. I would oftentimes use my phone to search the definition of an unfamiliar word I come across to. This made me finish a chapter for more than ten to fifteen minutes. But I did try my best to understand fully what the book is trying to say. Sometimes it was beyond my comprehension, sometimes it wasn't. I started this book on the 23rd of December and finished it at New Year's. It felt gratifying and satisfying to finish this book because this was one of my most anticipated novels to read. It felt even more rewarding when I finished it and  understood the book wholly.

I verily praise George Orwell for his writing skills. I like the way he used words to convey something. I read his other famous novel, Animal Farm—which I loved so dearly.

Anyway, because of the creative writing style and its purpose to warn us the horrors of a totalitarian government—especially the horror that such thing IS possible to rise, I wholeheartedly rate this novel five stars. It deserves it.

>The build-up for the plot was excellent, the drawings were fascinating to look at.

> The truth about Teddy? Boy, I did NOT expect that at all.

> I was hoping for a more sinister and dark twist. Something that is profound and unique. I thought this would be a psychological thriller, but it is straight-up supernatural.

> The ending is poignant and I loved it.

This is why I love mystery and thriller stories so much, it gives you the thrill and suspense that keeps your eyes glued to the pages and opened at starless nights. It'd never exhaust your inner Pandora.

But ironically, it took me months to finish this. There were a lot of distractions such as school but it felt gratifying to finally finish this (not saying this in a bad way).
