This book is absolutely my type of book. The themes are fun and quirky while also being dark and grim. There were very few points where I knew what was going to happen next, so I was constantly kept on my toes. I loved the fast pace, though I could’ve kept reading this for hours and hours. Probably my only complaint is that it was too short!

Roxane Gay perfectly encapsulates the struggles of being a fat person in our society, while delving into her past, present, and future. This book will make you cry as you reflect on your own experiences with fatphobia and its impact on the self.

This is one of the most disturbing yet eye-opening books that I have read. In a dystopian world where animal meat is supposedly poisonous for humans, human meat is used as food. The main character, who works at one of these factories, points out the horrors of the meat industry.
