This was delightful. While you can obviously read this book anytime of the year it really feels as though its a book that is meant to be read in the Fall. As always C J Cooke does an excellent job at using magical realism and dual timelines to create a well balanced story. The book follows both a past and a present day timeline and you slowly learn how the two are connected as you read which I loved. Anyone who is a fan of the Witch trials of the 1600s I would think will very much enjoy this book. The fact that this book has real life ties explained at the end is honestly the cherry on top.
