I quite enjoyed this collection of short stories. It is another book that I would not have picked up save for this wonderful reading challenge I found. It was a fascinating small look into various lives from cultures I am unfamiliar with. These glimpses were so well written and truly pull you into each story and each time one ended you really wanted more while at the same time being g satisfied with the story as a whole. Wonderful wonderful book. I could see myself reading this collection again in the future.

I found this book through an interesting short story challenge that I joined in order to stretch outside of my reading comfort zone. This book did not disappoint. It was unlike any book I have read. I am still fairly new to short stories and this compilation was quite interesting. I listened to it in audiobook form rather than reading the physical book and I think I would recommend the physical book instead. I believe it would have been a bit easier to follow along and realize when this author was resisting one of the previous stories in the book.

It had quite the range of characters and stories throughout, but all with one theme of being related to traveling. It was thought-provoking and very interesting. Some parts definitely made me a bit uncomfortable, but that is not a bad thing when it comes to literature. I enjoyed this short story compilation and recommend it to anyone looking for something different to pick up.
