a harlequin romance disguised as a thriller where somehow even the final ‘twists’ continue to be a disappointment. there were so many ways this could have been a good story. i wish any of them had been used.

Usually when a favorite author puts out so many books consecutively, the quality starts to fade. But this is probably the best one yet - an exploration of grief, the truth and the paranormal, it was emotionally turbulent and far more compelling than most thrillers I’ve read lately.
