This was a great finale to a really good trilogy. Went into the trilogy apprehensive after reading the first book many years ago. However, I have loved the journey through each book and how well rounded the character's came out to be in the end. I loved that the action continued to flow throughout the 300 pages and so we were never left dangling or lingering too long in one place. For a book less than 400 pages it sure packed a punch.

I love every single one of the character's and my heart strings (and tear ducts) were tugged constantly. Kagawa did so well with these character arcs.

I wish there was an epilogue to the epilogue.

This was cute don't get me wrong, I loved the family aspect and the breaking of stigmatism on death and things surrounding death. However, I felt like there really wasn't much sustenance to the plot or anything going on enough to build the plot. It felt, at times, like a mix of things smashed together.

I did like the switcheroo on sunshine and grumpy trope. Granted the main MC female wasn't grumpy per se but her take on romance sure was.

I don't know what else to say besides something was missing, lacking. I felt like the romance was very fast and not much to build on. The plot well felt more like reading a fanfiction. But the humor was well placed.

Emily Henry definitely has a way of capturing her audience with funny quips and relatable characters. As a non-romance reader, I figured that one of the most hyped romance author's out there would be a good place to start to dip my toes in the romance waters. And I was surprisingly not disappointed.

I loved Nora and Libby's sibling relationship. At times I wanted to shake Nora's shoulder's to make her realize her sister needs to make her own mistakes and live her own life, yet as the book moved further into the plot I can understand her need to always protect her sister. I was easily captured by the romance between Nora and Charlie, it wasn't slow burn like I expected it to be but I enjoyed the build up none the less.

What I enjoyed most about Book Lover's had to be Emily Henry's way of both poking at and incorporating the cliche's of Hallmark Movies. The city slicker going to a small town, making a big impact, and falling in love. We get that but with some twists and turns along the way.

I would definitely give Emily Henry's other books a try!

I haven't read romance in probably 12 years or so, as fantasy is my main choice of genre (well if unless you count a few fantasy romance's thrown in as well). And I guess I don't know what to say about this one as I don't have many romance books under my belt to base it off of.

My Roommate is a Vampire wasn't awful per se...just a tad boring. Are all romance's slow when they start off...or is it just me due to reading so much fantasy and sci/fi? I found the plot to be quite slow and nothing really there to keep my attention. The book didn't have much backbone to it, as the title says the main characters roommate is a vampire and he sucks at fitting into society...that's it, that's what this book is about.

For my first romance in a long while, it wasn't bad. It was cute. It had romance. That's it.

This was a fast paced and cute read. I found myself enjoying the fast pace of the first half of the book; however, the latter half the plot seemed to have sputtered out and lacked a story line with the ending picking up pace again, filled with action packed scenes. I loved Bridger and Leo's interactions they were absolutely adorable and loved their (kind of) slow burn romance. Also loved the found-family aspect of this book (looking at you Nia and Bran!).

I think this was one of the first books that F.T. Lukens wrote before their more recent publications and it definitely reads like an author's first book. So if you can look past that then I think you will find an adorable, adventurous quick read.

There isn't much to say besides I enjoyed Soul of the Sword. It started off quite slow with our characters just meandering across the vast land with a sort of goal in mind. However, the latter half of the book really picked up speed and was quite enjoyable.

I enjoyed the characters just as much as Shadow of the Fox and was really happy about a budding romance between certain characters.

That being said at times I felt like the plot was obvious or that our characters were a little too naive. There were points in the book where I questioned why the character's didn't see the very obvious signs or take certain actions that would have made the most common sense. Which would have helped with the slow pacing at the beginning.
