I chucked this book across the room when I was done reading it. Frankly, I'm not sure why I CONTINUED to read it -- I only skimmed the last few chapters, and mostly by that point I just wanted to see how it ended. Ironically, Deveraux just SKIPPED the final "climactic scene" and started the next chapter with a "One Year Later" segue and a flashback. Talk about a waste of my time! The blurb on the back had promised witchcraft, sorcery, and a plot reminiscent of a fairy tale -- what I got instead were obnoxious characters, ridiculous dialogue, and a completely ludicrous plot. At least now I know to avoid Jude Deveraux in the future!
