The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker

i found it so raw, more than other retellings I've read, and I liked that. there was a more realistic feeling to it, the way the author shows how women were treated through the character's pov. it made me hate Aquilles whereas in tsoa i could stand him and even care about him. although, in the final chapters, the narrative tone changed, and it made me feel a little more empathetic towards Aquilles, despite my disgust.
also, i love reading several retellings and finding tiny hints and traces of every story amongst all the books and mythology in general.
