I was confused the whole time until the very end. And then I realized good job, Dick. This hurt my brain in all the right ways.

I found it a bit hard to get into this book, just because I myself had so many similar experiences that for large chunks of the book, I didn’t feel that I was learning anything. Once I got into it, though, I was able to get through it. Very nice, a bit denser of a read than I was expecting for a graphic novel, but it was nice.

I wish this had included more trans women in its stories, like Laverne Cox or Caitlyn Jenner (as much as I hate her, her “Call Me Caitlyn” cover had exposed lots of people to transgenderism). I think this is also due for an update with Kamala Harris and the repeal of Roe v Wade.

Overall, it’s a great way to get bite sized information about the history of feminism. A nice and easy read!

“Unrelentingly erotic” says the Washington Post, who apparently grew up in a Mormon commune. If this is what you considered “unrelentingly erotic”, I shudder to think what AO3 would do to your prudish brain.
