I am so glad I got to meet Sonia Sotomayor in 2019 and I am so glad I finally got around to reading this book. Not only is her life story incredibly inspiring, but it is well told and absolutely compelling. There are a LOT of tabs in my copy. I highly recommend this book to everyone, really. I also recommend the audio book narrated by Rita Moreno with the prologue read by Sonia Sotomayor herself.
Running With Lions is a classic boy meets boy, boys become friends, boys stop being friends, boys meet again a few years later type love story. I don't know anything about sports, nor do I particularly care about them, but the way Winters describes the soccer being played in the novel makes it not only entertaining but engaging to the least sporty person out there. A great book to read if you're sick of straight people and want some good fluff.
