I finished this last night and I have to say that this was absolutely wonderful to read.
I loved Bierce's writing style, and I adored all the characters in this book. Alustin is definitely my favorite but I really enjoyed reading about Hugh, Talia, Sabae and Godrick. I love the action scenes and the dialogue was brilliant. I'm very interested to see where Bierce takes this magic system, it might be because I haven't read much in the same sort of genre as this particular book, but I found the magic system to be incredible unique and very interesting. I'm excited to continue this series and see what is in store for Hugh & co.
