" A witch’s work is never done when she works for the people. With the success of her town relying on her magic, demands are high. But what happens when a witch can't keep up with the magical requests? She is burnt, of course―in a cruel ritual that extinguishes her magic and erases all her memories, making her just like everybody else. "

This was such a fun read! I loved all the characters and the art style. This book is a great reminder that one needs to practice self-love and self-care in order to be able help others.

I am enjoying my read through the series and WOW vol.5 had some glimpses into the darkness of this otherwise cute world.

Campy slasher with POV as the slasher. I loved the exploration of the slasher tropes in this book like how are they so fast when walking? I enjoy the inner-monologues of Stephen Graham Jones characters and this was no exception.

"The Catenan Republic – the Hierarchy – may rule the world now, but they do not know everything. "

I need book two to come out soon because of that ending..WHAT!? This was an enjoyable read. I found the magic system interesting and loved that it was mainly an academy setting.

Beautifully written memoir, covers a lot of heavy topics. I enjoyed the way she related some popular horror films to real-life.

Magic has made the city of Tiran an industrial utopia, but magic has a cost—and the collectors have come calling.

One of the few books I've liked where our main character is very annoying in the 1st half of the book. I enjoyed the unique magic system and exploration of the terrible cost of it.
