Holy cow, what a rollercoaster of a book. I’m a big fan of Frieda McFadden  lol and i plan on reading all of her books because this one was so good! What seems like a straightforward mystery takes you on a wild ride of deception, lost love, and family lies that will have you flying through the pages I usually figure out who the killer is in mysteries and let me tell you I did NOT see that ending coming! I highly recommended to anyone who is looking for an unputdownable read that will have them gasping by the end!

We're supposed to fall in love with the oh-so-swoony Comrad because he drinks and punches walls and gets into fights... but this dude has as much personality as a brick. Conrad was meant to be the brooding bad boy in this story, but he was equally as selfish and immature as Belly. There was nothing swoon-worthy about him!! The "romance" was dificult to support because it was riddled with miscommunication and love tringes. The characters would consistently use one another with ulterior motives, and none of the couples felt like a cohesive partnership.

TEAM JELLY!!!

The first half of the book was good and cute and kept me intrigued as to how it would pan out. I really enjoyed reading fram colts perspective and felt he was much more of developed than Ash’s character. The book took a turn about halfway through it was an expected turn and yet i was left feeling like the characters weren't being true to who I’ve been reading about throughout the whole first half. The overall story itself was good and the writing was also really good But I felt like there needed to be more develoment. some of the plat points took a 90° turn without much substance. I really did enjoy the book and the characters and saw what Kelsie Rae was trying to do I just felt like I needed more depth throughout the ending.

The overall story is fantastic and as usual with McFadden, it's always a thriller that keeps you on your loes unill a crazy plot twist or insane reveal happens. Even though "Ward D" is a genwine pageturner, actually expected more from the ending. It was good but I was hoping for just a bit more. Especially affer some events and situations that transpired involving some parts that werent all that believable to me. Especially when it came to the main protagonist. Regardless, I genvinely enjoued reading this as I always do when it comes to Mcradden. Lexi and I had some pretty good and on point theories. Mine turned out to be almost perfectly on point

Alicia is one of the few parts of the story I really enjoyed. I found this novel to be slow. It is a slow burn of a read, but at times it's a little too slow. Most of the action happens in the last fourth of the novel. Maybe even less. Everything goes from zero to a hundred real quick. the twist that occurs is really good. Truthfully, I was blindsided by it. I think the twist is set up well, it’s the other part of the novel that I full-heartedy enjoyed by the way. With that being said, part of it is hard to process. This novel is set up a litte oddly. Outside of the journal entries, the timeline is linear. Until the twist occurs and then readers find out part of the story is set in the past, and I'm not talking about the journal entries. Once a reader process the twist, the book is basically over.

The novel starts off promising. Extremely promising, actually. It begins with the high-wire act of an unnamed wife sneaking out on her abusive husband to meet her lover, to what potentially seems like a violent abduction. And then we switch to one of the bleakest sequences i've read in a while, with a young girl, Dellah, hatching an escape from a disgusting, pitch black basement, where she's spent years enduring imaginable horrors at the hands of her backwoods captors, personally i thought it started off slow.

Crazy Plot twist at the end i did not see coming! Such a good book I couldn't put it down!! chose this book because I love psycholodical thrillers! I was intriqued by the Title of the book. I don't believe in perfect marriage but, I do believe in forgiveness Sarah appeared to me as totally devoted to her job and success! I didn't like her treatment of her assistant Anne or hour she behaved toward her husband Adam. She was very successful in her inh and evidenty made partner in the firm. he appears like a snoo and feels she is better then anyone working in her affice. Her husband hasn't written a best seller in years. Sarah seems to be the breadwinner in the relationship. Adam doesn't feel appreciated by his wife and decides he needs someone who does. He's having an affair with another woman named Kelly, who is also married!

This is exactly the type of thriller with a supernatural edge to it. Terrific job of keeping me on the hook and I loved the manner in which the drawings are added seamlessly into the story, magnifying Mallory's paranoia. I studied Them very carefully! The interactions between the four Characters are also terrific. Ted and Caroline as Mallory's employers hold all the power, but her obsession with the drawings trumps even that. Supernatural thrillers do not get much slicker than Hidden Pictures and I appreciated the twists lurking within the tightly written story.
