Okay friends. This is my second Jescie Hall listen. And, it was just as amazing as the first one I listened to. Now, it's got some triggers, so be sure to check them out first, but this book. This. 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 book. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠. There are no words to describe how much I utterly loved this book.

From the start, I knew I wasn't going to like Patrick. And, I was right. But, I know that he is needed to make this story the epicness that it was. I absolutely fell for Hawke instantly. Like there was no doubt about it. The way he was with Cole.....was absolutely swoon worthy. Cole? Well.....I wanted to hate her, but seeing her with Hawke??? I definitely couldn't hate her!

Now. Let's talk about 𝐽𝑜𝑒 𝐴𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑛 & 𝐴𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑠 and their narrations. These two came together in an explosion of epicness and brought to life these amazing characters. The way that 𝐽𝑜𝑒 𝐴𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑛 literally 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙚 me during 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 (IYKYK) scene....well, let's just say that I never saw that coming and it was the best/hardest thing I have ever experienced. He voices these characters differently & Kid is my second favorite! 𝐴𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑠 also did a phenomenal job! She captured the essence of Cole beautifully! 𝙹𝚎𝚜𝚌𝚒𝚎 𝙷𝚊𝚕𝚕 got a power duo with these narrators, that's for sure!

If you want a book to listen to that will bring a tension filled, emotional journey of finding 𝙬𝙝𝙤 you are, 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 want, and the truth of the person you 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 you knew.....then this is for you. You'll laugh. You'll get mad. You'll have WTF moments. But, ultimately? You'll have the best damn ride of your life!

My Darling Arrow by Saffron A. Kent

𝑴𝒚 𝑫𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘 is one of my top listens of 2023. I'll be honest, though. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did. I've seen mixed reviews on this one and I was skeptical. But, once I heard 𝚂𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚑 𝙿𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚎𝚝𝚝 & 𝙹𝚊𝚜𝚘𝚗 𝙲𝚕𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚎 telling their story, I fell hard. I fell fast. 

I adored Arrow. He was broken, thanks to his mother and his ex girlfriend. He was perfect. Always had to 𝙗𝙚 perfect. Until he wasn't. He was just what I wanted to see when it came to a "bad boy" hero. 𝙹𝚊𝚜𝚘𝚗 𝙲𝚕𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚎 was amazing at bringing him to life. His swoon worthy voice nailed the emotions and made me fall hard for Arrow! 

Now, let's talk about Salem. I almost didn't like her. She was naive. She was a rule breaker, and, well, at first, I found her a little annoying. Then, through 𝚂𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚑 𝙿𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚎𝚝𝚝 bringing her to life, I got to know her. I got to see what she was made of, how she felt about Arrow, and I softened up and enjoyed her side of the story! 

It was my first time listening to a 𝚂𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚑 𝙿𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚎𝚝𝚝 narrated story. She was amazing and I have added her to my female narrator favorites! 𝙹𝚊𝚜𝚘𝚗 𝙲𝚕𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚎 needs no explanation about his narrations other than 𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙨!!!! 

𝖲𝖺𝖿𝖿𝗋𝗈𝗇 𝖪𝖾𝗇𝗍 is a talented author, and it shows. She took a forbidden sister's boyfriend romance, added in all the angst, age gap and spice, and threw us a story that captivates you! 

(Not) The One by Donna Alam

What a fantastic listen! This is my first audiobook from this author and it will not be my last! I had a fun, wild ride with this awesome age gap romance. 

I love how 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 & 𝗭𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗻-𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 brought James & Miranda to life. I felt like I was among friends, listening to them tell the story. I laughed, I smiled and I rooted for them through the story! 

This is a masterfully chiseled book and one I will listen to again and again. I fell hard for the delicious James, and Miranda truly tugged at my heartstrings. They have an incredibly undeniable sizzling chemistry that left me panting many times! Loved that! 

I definitely recommend this to all romance lovers! It’s not the one (see what I did there?) you want to miss!

What's Not Lost by Valerie Taylor

𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐫 is back with another masterfully penned novel! When I see her books release, I know I’m in for a captivating ride & I love it! Her characters are chiseled beautifully and her story lines are unique and absolutely gripping! 

Kassie’s final story in this epic trilogy is beautiful. It’s filled with more twists and turns. There are secrets that come to life, there are questions that need answers & by the end of the story, when you close the book, you’ll be reflecting for a long time to come. 

This is another highly recommended read! It will captivate you, reach into your heart, and tug & twist until you’re breathless & leave you not ready to say goodbye to these beloved characters. I must warn you that it’s best to read the first two books in this trilogy before this one to experience the full effect!

What a wild ride! 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭 has become one of my favorites for the darker romances, so I was super excited to listen to this one & all I can say is 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗻! 

With 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑶𝒇 𝑴𝒚 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓, we are following Aleksandra(Sasha) on her journey of revenge as she disguised as a man in the Russian mafia. When Kirill enters the picture, that’s where my drooling starts & doesn’t end til the end. The intense attraction between them when forced to be in close proximity is absolutely off the charts. But, 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭 keeps adding twists and turns to the story & leaves the ending on one heck of a cliffhanger! 

𝗦𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸 & 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹𝘀 truly did a beautiful job with the narrations! I loved the duet style & 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤’s Russian accent??? *chef’s kiss* I felt like I was listening to friends tell their story. 

Definitely recommend this one!

Y’all. What heck rock have I been hiding under!? This book was everything! Filled with laughs, smiles, tears and amazingness!!! I was in a book funk, and this one pulled me right on out!

I adored Kristen & Josh. They were beautifully chiseled and I loved following their story. I felt Kristen’s struggles (I went through the same thing!), and I felt the sparks fly between them as their attraction grew. 

This book has the perfect amount of spice mixed with a touch of angst and very real life issues(be sure to check triggers before reading!). The characters steal your soul, making a home to life their forever. I couldn’t get enough and am so excited to dive into book 2! 

Move over, Colleen Hoover. Abby Jimenez is gonna steal number 1 for me! Definitely recommend this one with 5 ⭐️!

What can I say about this story? I don’t know what to say. It’s that amazing. It is heart wrenching. It beautiful. It is powerful. It deals with so many emotions and real life issues across the board.

 Phoenix & Lennon we’re absolutely perfect together! They had a push and pull relationship that was off the charts! Their chemistry was sizzling and the passion between them……*chef’s kiss*. 

I can feel that this 5 ⭐️ read is going to be read again again and again. I need more, Ashley Jade! MOORRRREEE!

Irish Rogue by Lydia Michaels

I love a good roller coaster emotion ride & this one fit the build! Lydia Michaels is quickly becoming a favorite for me with her #audiobooks. 

I love her plot line of Irish Rogue and the characters are just beautifully chiseled! The way Kelly & Ashlynn were with each was masterfully done. I loved it & fell hard for both characters!

And, David Allen Vargo was the perfect narrator! He switched between characters seamlessly, making the story flow beautifully. He brought all these characters to life & they felt like friends, not just characters. 

I definitely need to go back and listen to more of the books in this series. I need more Lydia Michaels works & characters! Great 4⭐️, recommended listen!

Secrets of Our House by Rea Frey

If you love a beautifully written family dramatics story, then look no further than that of 𝐑𝐞𝐚 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐲'𝐬𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒔 𝑶𝒇 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆. It is a gripping, page turning experience from the first page you read. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐲'𝐬writing style is unique for sure!

The characters within the pages truly brought things to the story that kept me up late into the early morning hours. I needed to see what was happening to Desi, Peter and Jules. Their lives were not perfect. Far from it. But the trip to North Carolina and The Black House…..well, let’s just say that the secrets and lies that light is shed on, will leave you on the edge of your seat with your jaw dropped.

I definitely recommend this! The characters are great and the plot line captivating! This is one that I’ll keep on my shelf to read again! Hats off, 4 stars and two thumbs up to 𝐑𝐞𝐚 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐲 for a beautifully chiseled novel!
