Coco Mellors is a genius when it comes to creating fully realised characters with depth - however, there is one thing I just couldn’t shake. It didn’t seem believable that these three sisters knew almost zero info about endometriosis and felt no need to find out after their sisters passing?
Like if my sister had suffered from this disease - I would do everything I could to find out every single minuscule detail, I’d want to get my hands round the fucking thing, make it pay!! I just didn’t really feel that?? This was such a good opportunity to teach the reader about this and it felt like an opportunity missed.

It was a sad yet predictable book - I loved reading about the different places that the protagonist goes to because of his work but at the end there wasn’t much driving the narrative.
