This book gave me mixed feelings.

I liked it but I also can't deny the fact that there were parts I had to really push myself to keep reading. Perhaps it's because I was hoping for more swoon-worthy moments between the characters.
They finally addressed their polyamory relationship but the scene just didn't bring the punch for such revelation.

As for the plot, it's progressing well with still slow but reasonable pacing. The last chapters were really thrilling and exciting. I enjoyed reading them. I just wished the same thing were spread out throughout the book, not just the end. There's a low-key cliffhanger. Not too frustrating in my opinion especially since the 3rd book is already available.

Will I read the 3rd book? Yep, definitely. I'm too invested already to drop this series. Will I still recommend it to others? I'm not sure as of now. The 2nd book didn't really bring much for me. Maybe book 3 can redeem the series 😅

Chaos Crew. We deliver expertly orchestrated chaos.

I think it's a great start to a new series. We have a trained killer with no knowledge of her past that had her life turned upside down when a group of men killed everyone she ever knew.

The whole book revolves around what happened after that, how she navigated her new world and interacted with her supposed enemies. Because of this, the pacing was a bit slow. It's all about introducing the characters, their dynamics, and setting the premise of the story.

Did I got bored reading it? Oh, heck no. Fortunately, the way the story was told held my interest and made me look forward to solving the mystery. The characters are well fleshed-out too so that's a win. There's one spicy scene if you're wondering.

The best part comes at the end, no surprise there. There's enough build up to make the whole scene phenomenal. It's a perfectly executed cliffhanger. Wait, you don't think cliffhangers are perfect? Pssh.

All in all, the book is worth the read and I'm really excited to jump onto book 2! Definitely recommended ~

Did not finish book. Stopped at 23%.
The premise looks interesting but it could use a really thorough edit. If the writing style could be improved and the book furthur edited, I think it could've been a really amazing read. As of now, though, I had to dnf it. It's not really holding my interest no matter how hard I try.
