Another great story in the Apocalypse Parenting universe.

It was so fun revisiting with the family and seeing all of the progress being made by humans, and not just in one neighborhood in Alabama.  It's rare (at least in the post apocalyptic LitRPG series I've read so far,) for the characters to have made significant progress against the system with each volume. The first book is a story of the actual Apocalypse and one family's survival. The second and third books are expansions ever outward with the neighborhood and finally the military getting involved.  In this book we see the start of a global human movement, to fight back and against the aliens behind the system.

I love this series.

This book was everything I was hoping for in the wrap up of Eire Danu. Did it gut me, and make me cry? Yes, but it also made me laugh and cry tears of joy for those in the book.

Meryn was at her very best in this book and so too were her adopted family. Kinkaid and Zadie were delightful and I hope we visit with their very full family a bit, in the final books of Storm Keep or maybe in the Vanguard books?

That's just me, not wanting to let these characters go. Somehow Alanea Alder has built a world where all are accepted and loved (you know, except for the evil b*stards, they die.)

I totally recommend this series (but PLEASE start at book one) if you enjoy found family, kick ass heroines (literally) and fabulous world building.

It was great to catch up with the couples from the Knitting in the City series, now as parents of adult children. I love the way that Penny Reid writes characters who aren't  neurotypical, but I'm pretty sure  Ava is NOT neurotypical in any way, even though it's never mentioned.  Fun romance, I liked the twists and the epilogue was great.

Another fabulous adventure with Adair and the team. I’ve loved each of the books in this series so far, but 24-hour Warlock might be my favorite yet. I adore the humor, the heart and the reluctant heroisms of Adair, even when he complains about it. I also really love the "Groundhog Day" of it all is built into each story and yet feels fresh every time. Highly recommend.

Hands down, one of my favorite first contact novels of all time. I've read this book multiple times and can't recommend it enough. The MC, Ofelia, is an old lady who just wants to be alone and do her thing with no one to judge or bother her. She has zero f's to give and I love that for her.

Ofelia manages to to be left behind when her colony is extracted, and is happy living by herself in the old colony, tending her garden, dressing how she likes, even going bare if she wants to, but that doesn't last. A new colony is landing far away, but Ofelia hears their broadcasts, and their screams. That's when Ofelia realizes, she was never alone.

Seriously, just a delight to read.
