In the second book of the Auras and Embers series, Gideon is used to his powers and his team, so when he and Dacey are sent on a new investigation, where five people have died recently from mysterious causes, he's more than ready to investigate. This case is perfect for Gideon and his powers quickly help them to discover even more victims. Dacey and Gideon are such a great pair and their romance really progresses in this book.
The mystery had me constantly guessing and I was so very wrong about the who the killer was. Such a great installment, I can't wait for the next book. I totally recommend this series, although I would recommend that you read the Sophie Feegle series first, I would suggest you start there, but it's not necessary as this series more than stands on its own.

The new and improved (rebuilt) HQ for the gang is done and Riley and the gang have a new job from the Enclave, that has some major triggers for Riley. Riley's hot Alpha, Max, is hosting a conference of Alpha shifters and very few friends are counted among them. Pack businesses and non-wolf members are being targeted with hate crimes. All that, and Coven Head Martha is out for not just Riley but her new HQ too.
This was an action packed, and frequently edge of the seat, thrill ride, with such a satisfying conclusion. McBride delivered another fabulous addition to the series. I am already anxiously awaiting the next one, but I'll buy this again when it comes out in audio, just to revisit it again. If you haven't already, I highly recommend the Riley Cruz series.

Our MC Lucy is forced to take a sabbatical from her work as a history teacher, do to a hospital stay due to stress. She decides to do her sabbatical in the countryside, and do some research based on Bletchley Park and what went on there during WWII.
The Telephone Box Library is a sweet, atmospheric, and delightful tale by Lucas that is entertaining, satisfying, and the perfect sunny afternoon treat.
This was a lovely story and the found community, glimpses of life in WWII are presented in a lovely way. While I picked this up mistakenly thinking it was fantasy, I've really loved the ride.

Every book in this world has blown me away with loveable characters, an intriguing, low stakes mystery and a warmth of community building and overall coziness that I find myself helpless to stop form revisiting. This story will clearly be a much read one and I'm looking forward to the audiobook for my next read.
This is such a delightful story with all the cozy one could desire. It felt like you were checking yourself into an Inn in Hobbiton (from Lord of the Rings) and stayed on for a season to eat all the savory foods, drink all the wine and share in a festival. The village and the characters you meet feel lush and vibrant and I want to visit this village again and read more of their stories.
I highly recommend this book. My biggest complaint was that it ended.

Another fun standalone sci-fi read by Scalzi. He and Wil Wheaton are a fabulous team.
While I will say I really enjoyed this, it's not IMO, as fabulous as Starter Villain or KPS. Read it though, you'll laugh, you'll cringe and you'll cheer at a death (even though that sounds wrong.)

While this wasn't the charming cozy fantasy romance I was expecting based on the blurb, I did love this story and Foss. It took me a bit to warm up to Sylvester but he won me over in the end. The best character in the book hands down was Cornelius. Cornelius was an utterly delightful kitty sidekick and I adored him!
