Now that the returning magicals and towns folk who moved in during the Queen's reign have come to a peaceful resolution, our MC, Lillie is actively working to settle in at her bakery, and in her new community. Like the Weary Dragon Inn, the mystery is light and a great vehicle into getting to know the delightful cast of interesting regular characters and all of their secrets. So far I'm really loving this series.

S. Usher Evans has the knack for creating a cozy, low stakes world with enough mystery, magic and intrigue that I just want to crawl in and live there and this series is no exception. On to book number three. I highly recommend them for fans of cozy fantasy.

TLDR: A Drizzle of Magic is a short and sweet cozy fantasy mystery, about a magical baker starting over.

Our MC, Lillie is a magical baker who's starting over, opening her own bakery, in a new town. This is a second chance in life for her, after the events that occurred in the Weary Dragon Inn series.  Lillie is hoping to make her way in a new world that is finally allowing magic out in the open again.

Lillie isn't the only one looking to start over after the reign of the evil queen has come to an end. There are a lot of other new (and returning old) residents in town and nobody is sure where they fit. Like the Weary Dragon Inn, we're already being introduced to a delightful cast of interesting characters (including a finely dressed talking mouse) and I'm looking forward to getting to know them all just as well.

The Witch at the Edge of the Wood is the perfect cozy fantasy for fans of low stakes, found family and magic that helps make the world better, one helping hand at a time. This story was like a slow, warm hug. I loved it and really hope there will be more visits to this magical cottage at the edge of the woods, and with those visit there.

I'll admit, I will buy and read anything written by Molly Harper, and as usual, I enjoyed this very much. This is the start to a new trilogy of supernatural romances, set in the same town as her Starfall Point series and there is some crossover. I'm looking forward to the rest of the trilogy.

Excellent debut novel. Greenteeth has all of the elements of a classic Heroic Quest and delivers them in the most cozy way possible. Our cast of misfit heroes, a lake monster, a witch, and a goblin are presented with three tasks to complete before they can defeat the monster in the village. Along the way, they fight their way through monsters, encounter unicorns, and slowly grow from reluctant allies into friends, bonded by battle.

Like any good modern fairy-tale, it has humor, heart, and found family, and while there are the highest of stakes and a terrifying neigh undefeatable villain, it still felt cozy at the end. I did shout a few times and cry, but this story left me happy at the end.

I highly recommended for fans of a cozy-ish fairytale adventure.

This series begins two months after the apocalypse has struck Earth in the form of a nanite plague that wiped out most life on Earth and let the remaining humans struggling in the remnants of civilization with no working tech and monsters, created by the plague, all around. The story starts with two college students struggling to survive, and a third who comes upon them, discovering a damaged alien ship and figuring out how to fly it. This was a fun and fast Sci-Fi, LitRPG ride with non-stop action. The ensemble cast was well developed and, while dark, I very much enjoyed the universe and all of the different systems and species.

If you enjoy LitRPG, this is a great addition to the genre. Bonus, the complete boxed set is one credit, and is narrated by the awesomeness that is Jeff Hays.

This book was fantastic.  A paranormal fantasy that takes place in Prohibition Era 1920's, set in Black Washington, this book is has an epic heist, a mystery to solve and a romance, subtly in the background. Laced with African American folk magic, history of the time and the ever present threat of Racism, both that of the whites and the classist blacks, this book was at times uncomfortable to read but always brilliantly told. I highly recommend this book.
