I enjoyed the sequel much more than book one, I fell into the story much faster and found the world more interesting. I love the magic system in the story and this one was more action focused and faster paced. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers romance in the book and there was lots of pining and yearning. A good conclusion to the duology that wraps everything up really well

I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. It’s quite dark and toxic, focusing on escaping from grief rather than dealing with problems and trauma. I found it thrilling and fast paced with a very dark atmosphere.
