I'm confused and couldn't tell you anything about any of the characters. I just,,,,am not invested at all.

Forget hiring an editor, can someone proof read this book please? I DNFed after three chapters because it was simply unreadable. I am not a prose person, I have pretty low standards for writing quality, but when there is entire sentences I cannot interpret and whole words missing that make the entire sentence meaningless, even I get annoyed. Some examples:

In fact, he had already forgotten about his.
His what?

"Do you want to go somewhere a bit more private, Mr. Undefeated?"
Christ did that for Jayden at the nickname he's been given by everyone in the tennis league...
What?

He was more than excited to see if what Coach said met his expedition as well.
I think you meant expectation...

I know this is a pre-publication ARC and so some errors are to be expected, but I did not receive this book long before publication, and the sheer quantity of errors I found even in the few chapters I made it through concerns me for the published version.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I adored the first two books in Felicia Davin's French Letters series, and The Anonymous Letters of C Forestier did not disappoint. The novel follows two characters who had been involved since the start of the series, but neither had gotten much page time, and it was delightful to get to know both of them.
I particularly enjoyed the dynamic between Isabelle and Forestier. Both of them are quite hardened and jaded characters, but the way they approach life because of that was really different. The emotional scenes between them really got to me (I cried at least once) and they had fantastic chemistry, too.
I believe this is the final book in the series, and I have to say I am sad to say goodbye to the world. I'm pretty confident this will be a series I will revisit pretty frequently, and I'm looking forward to checking out Davin's other worlds.
