Amazing book. All the characters, especially protagonsit and Anne are super interesting and well-written. The ending is also great!

Some plotless blob of text. Idk maybe translation was wrong, but there is literally nothing to get out of this one. The most fun thing about this book is how author was so nazi he got an interview with Hitler, and pissed him off cuz the author had bad hearing. Now THIS is funny!

A very bad book with a few good things which make it a worthwhile read if you barely know what a dollar it. I read the whole thing in a day, got a few useful tidbits out of it, and deleted it off my phone. Also, whenever the author tries to go into politics, it turns ito complete cringe. At least he isn’t TOO annoying about his ideas about taxation.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
Too little about Ai, too much opinions on social issues. Too much descriptive statements without providing evidence. Absoluetly unhelpful, dull experience.

The narrative itself is quite boring and sometimes nonsensical for no reason. There are some good lines here and there, but overall pretty underwelming. The ending was just bad.

The first part of the story is incredibly boring, second part is really, really good. Not SUPER good, but just good enough to get this story to 3.5/5 for me. The nonsensical humor was getting on my nerves, but sometimes was a good tool for powerful imagery. Charactes are mostly flat and boring, but authour managed to make me care about them -a little-, due to how drasticaly their lives go downhill.

Loved the narrative, loved the character. The ending is not the most explosive, but the book still is a shining example of Soviets being able to write good and interesting stories. The love plot wasn't that convincing, but it is pretty much a norm in all russian liturature - every book has to have romance, no matter what.
