Honestly I’m not gonna lie I didn’t like this book at all. I didn’t like how they started it with the incident from Hunter & Lennon’s book then went back in time to show how it happened instead of developing Sophie & Masons story a different way. It was like too much trauma & tragedy too soon & just as Sophie & Mason got over that hurdle another 1 came not to mention this book deals with abuse. I didn’t get much romance from this one so I’m very disappointed. It dragged on longer than it needed to & it was repetitive. Also like all of the series & Duets it ends on a cliffhanger. I am going to read the other one just to see how it turns out but I would recommend skipping it if you’re hoping for a steamy romance or hate to love story like the previous books. If abuse wether it’s emotional or physical, suicide or anything like will trigger you DO NOT READ THIS BOOK.

Just as I felt about part 1. This book was even heavier than the first. There’s just way too much tragedy & trauma for me. I had to skip over a few parts it was way too intense. I also don’t think Sophie & Mason got the ending they really deserved so I just have mixed feelings truly. Coming from the Checkmate series I was expecting more... romance but these aren’t as romantic.

So this started exactly like Sophie & Masons story. They met beforehand & pretended like nothing happened (which I don’t like) & we’re going back in time to events before the cliffhanger instead of picking up where we left off (which I also don’t like) I get wanting to unravel their stories from the beginning but it could be done another way. This storyline is very boring & a little predictable idk man I’m so disappointed in these. The few reviews that I read all said the same thing but I try to form opinions about things on my own. The cat & mouse things gets old, Liam disappointed & breaking her heart gets old & at some point I just wished it was over already.

The ending was good but I’m not overly thrilled about this story. Not as much tragedy in Liam & Maddies story as Mason & Sophie’s but there were a lot of plot twists. My anxiety was shot reading thing, it felt like something bad was going to happen at every

Starting a new book by a new author is always nerve wracking but I must say I was pleased with this book. I loved the characters, storyline & style of writing. Honestly this book was amazing. I’m excited to read the rest.

I liked this story a lot. It was predictable though. I'm not sure ill continue on in the series. It lacked more depth for me so if you're looking for a fun and easy read this would be it.
Where I Found You by Brooke O'Brien

I’m a sucker for a strong/hurt woman that carries the weight of the world on her shoulders & needs a dominant man to take over control & love her. This is what I got from this book. It was addictive, sweet, sad, funny & romantic. It was a pretty quick story & there wasn’t that much depth but I loved it regardless. It deals with sexual assault so if that’s a trigger please be aware.

This book was absolutely amazing from start to finish. It does end on a cliffhanger which I didn’t mind. I didn’t expect it to be as emotional as it was due to how short the book is but you just can’t help falling in love with these two.
