this book was weird in a really great way. and holy shit, if you're mentally ill in any capacity, this book will make you feel seen in one way or another lol

i liked that things got (a lot) worse for enid before they got better because it felt more realistic. especially for someone confronting such deep rooted trauma and mental health issues (her own and others she cared about)

the phobia of bald men was so funny and also.... so real

I really liked the dual timelines for the background and context, but I would have loved the Decklee chapters to have been longer.

Overall, I like the small town coming-of-age story and the realization that sometimes your idols can be flawed pretty deeply.
