on his wedding day, edmond is falsely accused of treason and without fair trial is sentenced to solitary confinement at chateau d'if
there he meets abbe faria and learns of a hidden treasure on the island of monte cristo
faria teaches edmond history, languages, sciences and philosophy
after years of confinement, dantes is ready to escape and so he does, finding the treasure he returns to france as the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo only to see everything has changed and been stolen from his former self
with the power of being the count, edmond wrecks havoc on the people who have wronged him
for something written centuries ago, it is still very modern with a murderous/ villianous air to the count but the revenge is so good
Way to long 30% of this book couldve been cut out and i wouldve lived just fine without some chapters

an 8 year old boy goes to live with his grandmother after the death of his parents
one night she tells him the story of witches that leaves an impact on him
after his grandmother has a stroke, she is recomended to take a vacation to relax
while at a resort the young boy runs into a witch convention and over hears their plan to kill all children
while horrifyingly nostalgic, it is extremely outdated
